Evergreen Community Development helps communities grow, one small business loan at a time. Serving a critical community need, we make commercial real estate and equipment ownership possible for our region’s small and medium sized businesses. Primarily, we partner with lenders in Alaska, Oregon, Washington, and the panhandle of Idaho to provide SBA 504 loans, which allow businesses to purchase and improve buildings and purchase and install equipment at a low long-term fixed interest rate, and with as little as 10% down.
Evergreen also offers other alternative loan programs to small businesses to stimulate economic development, including Rural Loans and Community Reinvestment Fund, USA Loans.
Strong start-ups can be eligible for these programs, however they are primarily designed to assist healthy, established, and growing businesses.
Evergreen does not offer grants or technical assistance directly to businesses, but we help support organizations that do, like the Small Business Development Centers and S.C.O.R.E. We support entrepreneurism and green industry through grants to other organizations and scholarships to students. We encourage high performance green buildings.
